Chef Ginny planted some lingonberry plants this year, so she is making Swedish Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes to celebrate the future harvest. Chef Mary is offering her fantastic Hibiscus Taquitos she discovered in Mexico on her recent trip. There are also some luscious summer meals like Balsamic Peach Pork Chops and a Tuscan Summer Stone Fruit Panzanella Salad with Burrata to celebrate our new season. We won't make this hard for you--you do not need to choose between us. Chef Ginny is competing in the national competition FAVORITE CHEF, not Chef Mary. We both applied not knowing it was an online voting popularity contest, and we figured it out once we were accepted. So we are asking for your vote for Chef Ginny because the prize will help us with SanMateoSupperClub.com and help us with a number of things such as paying for our infrastructure and some advertising and kitchen upgrades.

It's the kind of thing where you can vote for free everyday, if you verify your email. They also let you bulk buy votes. I'm asking for your free votes, as much as you can remember or stand to do on our behalf. The voting runs from now until August 17th with various levels. Right now Chef Ginny is in 8th place, and only needs to be in the top 20 to make the cut next week on June 22nd.
That means we will be asking for votes from now until August. Please be a helper and ask your friends and family to vote for us, too. We will let you know what rounds really need votes to make it to the next level--right now things are looking good. At the end, Chef Carla Hall will choose her favorite plated dish, and there is a spread in the magazine Taste of Home. Right at the moment, this seems possible and the grand prize is $25,000!
GARDEN WALLFLOWERS
And because I love making and building things, I wanted to share this fun installation I did on my backyard fence recently. I spent about 5 years collecting metal flowers on clearance or sale where ever I could find them. It started with finding a bunch for $3 each, and I decided the only way they would work is if I had a LOT of them. So I began quiet collecting. Now the installation is in--I hope it inspires you:
